School Board News Features Niangua Dome
According to Niangua Superintendent Andy Adams, it’s not unusual for one tornado per week to rip through southwest Missouri during tornado season. That’s one of the reasons why the school district opted to build a Monolithic Dome preschool building.
The April issue of School Board News spotlights the new dome in its Innovations section. In an article headlined “Dome Classroom Offers Tornado Protection,” the monthly newsletter describes how the building was constructed and why.
