Small Town, Big Newsmaker
Who would have thought that a tiny little school district in Missouri would make national news just because of a new building? That’s what happened in Niangua, which is hosting an open house today at its new Monolithic Dome preschool that doubles as a disaster shelter.
The School Board Journal is the first of several national magazines to feature the school, which is being funded by FEMA. School Planning & Management Magazine is also featuring it in their April issue and School Business Affairs is planning a major article on the dome in June. If there’s a school official out there who’s never heard about Monolithic Domes, they’ll know about them now!
