Niangua School Makes National Headlines Again

School Planning & Management became the latest national magazine to feature the new Monolithic Dome school in Niangua, Missouri. The building has been making headlines because it is the first of its kind in the nation to be funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Although the focus of the article was on the building’s disaster resistance, the feature appeared in the magazine’s Green Issue. The topic turned out to be a perfect fit since the energy savings alone would pay for the entire cost of the Monolithic Dome structure in about 20 years.
