Monolithic’s founding guru, David South, wanted to share with the Monolithic Dome community his blooming Rosa Banksiae flowers, often referred to as Lady Bank’s Rosa, that have completely covered his dome-shaped, two-car garage.
The Rosa Banksiae are long-stemmed, woody vines that are rooted in the soil at ground level and use trees, as well as other means of vertical support, such as Monolithic domes, to climb to well-lit areas. These light yellow/pale roses are growing vigorously and are practically thornless, creating a glorious Easter holiday view at “Charca Casa,” the South home, where David and his wife Judy reside with their dog, Ariel.
